Disneyland – California Adventures 2022

In early December 2022, we took a very quick trip to Disneyland and California Adventures. It was our granddaughter’s first visit and how fun to watch her excitement. It was a fast and furious two days but much fun, so many BAM moments.

We own a construction company and we first had to get to a certain point in framing so we could go. Many long days, but well worth the effort!!

We flew into the Ontario, California airport. They have a Ramen noodle machine in concourse!! Our flight out of Salt Lake City was delayed so we got to sleep at 1am.

With about 5 hours of sleep, we were up bright and early ready for California Adventures. We had reserved a hotel close to the park that was within walking distance. This saved us the $30.00 parking fee.

We had purchased the Disney Genie+ and our daughter Jerie was in charge of scheduling the rides. It helped tremendously to have one person in charge.

Our first ride was Little Mermaid, Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

We have never, ever done swings, not even at our state fair. We had a great time on the Silly Symphony Swings.

It is onto the Incredicoaster. We took turns on this one, since Kaylee was too little. One of the cool benefits of the Genie+ is it included all of our park pictures.

On Guardians of the Galaxy, we did a rider switch, so that we could all stand in line. The new Tower of Terror “Marvel” style is pretty “marvelous”

Web Slingers: A Spiderman Adventure…Kaylee loved the glasses

We actually did Spiderman twice as some of us, didn’t understand (or perhaps follow the instructions” of how to sling the webs…lol

We had Spuddy with us and took his picture for obvious reason…

Avengers Campus

At the Disney Jr show, Kaylee thought Mickey was there just for her…ahhh

We loved Monsters Inc

We headed to Cars Land, where we ate lunch at Flo’s V8 Cafe.

We did another ride swap for the Radiator Springs Racers. The first group waited in the stand-by line, when they were done our second group was able to go to the Lightning Lane.

Kaylee got a bubble machine. We were kind of glad when it ran out of bubbles, hahaha .

While Kaylee was enjoying the bubble machine, the adults were excited that the Festival of Holidays was occurring while we were there, so we sampled food from around the world.

The Toy Story soldier show was also entertaining.

Everyone had fun at Toy Story Midway Mania.

You just have to have a picture with Mickey Mouse.

With it being Christmas time, we took pictures in front of the Christmas tree.

Nighttime at Disney, brings a whole different atmosphere…

We didn’t do every ride, but we did a lot. With our late flight, it had been a long day, and we were all exhausted. Disneyland was the next day and with a good night’s sleep, we could shut the park down 🙂
