Disneyland 2022

We made a quick trip to California to enjoy our granddaughter’s first trip to Disneyland. It was a fast and furious 2 days. After enjoying California Adventures on the first day, we were up bright and early to spend all day at Disneyland. We had a great night’s sleep so were hoping to shut the park down…lol.

We walked from the hotel to the main entrance, which saved us $30.00 for parking. The walk was only about 15 minutes.

Our daughter Jerie was in charge of the Genie+ and booking our ride times and did an awesome job. First stop was at the Jungle Cruise. Jerie was a boat captain on the Jungle Cruise in Orlando. We loved seeing Jerie’s excitement in showing Kaylee the everything about the ride.

Did you know that in Adventureland, there is a house for the elf that lives on the Disneyland property!!

Pirates of the Caribbean is always entertaining!!

Kaylee stayed with us, while the big kids went on Splash Mountain.

While the “big kids” rode Thunder Mountain, Kaylee paddled a canoe around Tom Sawyer’s Island.

After our canoe ride, Kaylee changed into her princess dress…

We did the Winnie the Pooh ride, which is cool, because Kaylee’s room is decorated like the Hundred Acre Wood.

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride…

Cindy also knowns as CIG to her grandkids, was pretty stoked as this was her first time meeting Winnie the Pooh!!

We stopped for lunch and enjoyed the “grey stuff” from Beauty and the Beast. It was very good!!

Everyone tried their best to pull the sword out of the stone…

Can you ever get tired of It’s A Small World

The song is priceless…it just brings a smile to your face.

Small World was decorated for Christmas

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

While the “big kids” went to Space Mountain, Poppy and CIG took Kaylee to the Storybook Land Canal Boats

Kaylee sure enjoyed Poppy carrying her around the park…

Cindy has always wanted a Disney balloon, but Jade wanted the Dole Pineapple Whip, both good choices.

The Haunted House was particularly Festive!!

We enjoyed the parade, but Kaylee LOVED the parade. She thought all the characters were waving at her and kept calling their names.

We had some time between the parade and the fireworks so we rode the Carousel

We did Snow White’s Scary Adventure and Casey’s Jr. Circus Train (sorry about the flash Chris)

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

Time for some fireworks… we watched from Main Street

Disneyland at night is magical

Our final pictures, and yes, when we left the park was closed…lol . When Jim saw the Christmas Tree all lit up, he said, “where do you think they store that tree”.

Everything about our two days at California Adventures and Disneyland had been magical. But we had another adventure awaiting us in Iowa. No time to rest, we flew out early the next morning.
