We had spent two days in the island nation of Seychelles. We left Port Victoria just after the sun set on the last night of 2024.

Preparations for the celebration had been underway for a few days, including our door decorations.

We had brought our own New Year hats and took lots of pictures!! The ship provided hats and noise makers to all the guests.

We walked through the buffet before heading to dinner and it was decked out with New Year themed carvings

We had reservations at Moderno which is the Brazilian restaurant. It was a great “last” dinner of 2024.

There were two celebrations to choose from…one in the atrium and one at the pool. We chose the atrium for the countdown and so did a lot of other guests…lol

The countdown was on…it was cool they had a clock starting at 11:30pm…we sang Auld Lang Syne

Balloon drop!!! So much fun. We don’t drink but they had free champagne available.

On our way to the pool, we met the ship’s crew celebrating

At the pool, they had carved a 2024 ice sculpture. When the clock struck midnight, they pushed the 4 into the pool and slid the 5 into place.

What an amazing New Year’s Eve celebration. We went to bed way after midnight and used our day at sea to rest and relax, do absolutely nothing, before arriving at our next port in Madagascar.
