After our fast and furious day in Boston, we took the T train to the cruise port to catch the NCL Gem. It had been a few years since we cruised out of Boston, so from the train we transferred to a bus, but it was only a few blocks, so on the return trip, we would walk back to the train station.

Once on board, the first order of business was to grab lunch and then enjoy some music around the pool.

From the top of the ship, we enjoyed the sights of Boston.

While waiting to leave Boston, our ship was on the flight path for Logan International airport, making for some entertaining moments.

As our ship left Boston Harbor, we sailed past Georges Island, which is home to Fort Warren. It was used as a training facility for Union soldiers during the Civil War. We also passed Long Island, which has been used by Native Americans, military, housing of homeless people, and farming.

We are cheap travelers and want to save money for adventures, so we got one room for all of us…lol. Good thing we like each other!! We enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries that are part of our Sapphire perk.

Our first evening…dinner at the buffet, an amazing piano show, and some late night dancing

The next day was a sea day… Lunch with a view, an afternoon movie of the live version of Mulan, and Jodi tried to beat the “crane”!!

We walked around the deck and found a chair to relax and enjoy the breeze

The evening entertainment was a country music show.

We enjoyed a late evening at the Moderno Brazilian Grill. The pineapple was to die for!!

What a great two days to start off our Bermuda cruise.
