Springbreak 2023…Busch Gardens-through the eyes of a Child

After our amazing cruise on the Disney Wish, and after returning to Orlando, we went to the time share we had reserved, to relax and recoup.

The following day, 5 of our crew stayed in Florida to enjoy the extra week of warm sunshine. We enjoyed another day of rest, just lounging.

And we enjoyed abit of pool time.

Our daughter Jerie was able to fin an awesome deal for Busch Gardens and Sea World, that included unlimited meals. Like we needs more food…lol. Our first day was at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. It is a 335 acre animal themed park that opened in 1959. Kaylee would have to wait a few more years for the rides.

We enjoyed the bird sanctuary. It was breeding season for the American White Ibis so they were everywhere, as well as plenty of poop…lol. the park had put out signs, to avoid the “white spots. There were over 20 Ibis in the trees above us.

Kaylee loved looking at the animals

We rode the Serengeti train…besides seeing animals, it is an easy way to get to the other side of the park

We enjoyed the first of our unlimited meals.

With Poppy’s help, Kaylee rode the carousel. She wasn’t so sure, once her horse began going up and down.

We enjoyed a show about rescued animals.

Kaylee loved that she got to ride in the plane by herself.

The park was not too busy and many of the rides only had a few people in line.

The “big” kids were able to enjoy the river ride and got extremely wet, but it was so much fun. A man on our raft bragged that he wasn’t wet at all just as a hidden waterfalls frenched him. 🙂

Meal #2…we actually had 3 meals and have never left an amusement park so full

Jade and Jerie went to ride a roller coaster, so we took Kaylee to Lory Landing. You can buy food to attract the birds, but we didn’t know how Kaylee would react to the birds, so decided to just walk through.

We didn’t need any food, as Jim said the birds liked how “sweet” he is. They especially loved his ears!!

While driving a car, Kaylee kept saying, “My car”.

Jade and Jerie were still in line for the roller coaster, so Poppy and Kaylee tackled the rope course. Kaylee may or may not have fallen and got a black eye. Oh geez, we can’t be trusted!!

In Sesame Street Land, Kaylee chose a Zebra to ride and then an antelope.

Completely worn out….on a side note, the stroller is from a 2015 trip we took with granddaughter Whitney to Disney World. Kind of a cool cousin connection, plus Kaylee loved that it was a Minnie Stroller.

We finished the night with a mean game of Monopoly. It was a travel version that we found at the Dollar store. Jim loved his new shirt LOL

We would have a rest day at our time share resort, then enjoy Sea World.
