Spring Break 2023…Disney Cruise-We have Arrived!!

Advertisements

It was our Uncle’s 80th Birthday in March, so what better way to celebrate than a family cruise. It was a 5 day, four night out of Cape Canaveral. Everyone flew into Orlando where we stayed the night.

Since we had been planning and coordinating this trip for 18months. Aunt Shirley made each family a Disney countdown…

Some of us were extremely excited to be leaving the cold and snow!!

We were coming from California, Idaho, Alaska, and Iowa and while we waited for our last group to arrive, we headed to Dave and Busters in Orlando. Everyone had a great time playing the games and we had enough tickets to buy a sloth…lol

We stayed at the Hyatt Airport Hotel, which was very convenient, especially when our last group was delayed for 5 hours.

We had a birthday party for Uncle MEL. He is a great cook, so the theme was Ratatouille. Our son put together an awesome video.

We might have done some airport shopping before they arrived. The Harry Potter store was calling.

Our long lost travelers!!!

It was almost midnight, and there was no one in the airport, except our crazy crew. It was off to bed, as we had an early morning.

The morning sun greeted us and we knew it was going to be a great day.

Uncle MEL is not fond of matching shirts, so what do you do, you get matching shirts in a BRIGHT orange color!

Our Disney shuttle to the port, picked us up from the airport hotel. We left our luggage in our rooms and it was transported to the ship. We had fun answering Disney trivia questions during our 45 minute ride.

Our first glimpse of the Disney Wish. Our granddaughter Kaylee said, Wooaah!!!

We had checked in and received a boarding time a month before our cruise, but since we had stayed at the airport, we were given a priority check-in. If you like to collect the pressed pennies, there is a machine at the port, only change, only credit cards.

As you are boarding they announce your group, just like at Cinderella’s Ball…Uncle MEL and his Gang of Rats. Cinderella waved at us, but we were waving like crazy at her…haha

Kaylee’s first character greeting…

Uncle Mike, Aunt Shirley, and Lissa had a suite. Holy moly it was Huge!!

Aunt Shirley had made Disney ears for everyone’s doors. We also has “fish extenders” where she placed fun items each day.

Lunch, a little pool time, and a Sail Away Party

Minnie Mouse is the “Captain” of the Disney Wish.

It was going to be a great cruise!!!
